A-Z Ashley D'Amour

Ashley D’Amour
December 1, 2015
Alaska is a place I would love to visit someday.
Burton Hollow Swim Club is where I spend the majority of my time in the summer.
Christmas music has been playing in my house and in my car since October.
Dancing is not one of my strongest skills.
Eight years is how long I’ve been a swimmer, and eight years too many.
First grade was the worst year of school for me, I ended up getting suspended for a day.
Gator is the name of my first pet, a clumsy old chocolate lab.
Hawaii was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to; I hope to be back soon.
Ice cream is something I can’t live without; cookie dough is the best flavor.
June of 2015 is when I completed my first triathlon, something I hope to continue doing.
“Kick the Dust Up” was the name of the Luke Bryan concert I went to this summer, country music is constantly playing in my house.
Leaving home to go to college is the thing I am most nervous for at the moment, even though it’s a couple years away.
My full name is Ashley Elizabeth D’Amour.
Napping after a long swim practice is one of my favorite things to do, but it’s a rarity in my life.
October 25 is my half birthday, which means my real birthday is April 25.
Peanut butter is my absolute favorite food, also the name of the color of paint on my bedroom walls.
Questions from my parents after I get home from school are something I dread.
Red Cross is who I got my lifeguard certification through so that I could work this summer at a swim club.
Spain is something I’m very excited for this summer, I am fortunate enough to be going with one of my best friends, Katie.
Taking time to spend with my sister is something I cherish, since she’ll be leaving for college soon.
Umbrellas are a good sign to me since I love rainy weather.
Vacuuming our house is one of the things my mom makes me do that I despise.
X-rays are something I got used to when I had my appendix taken out in the eighth grade.
Yellow trees and late night bonfires are the things I look forward to the most when autumn comes.
Zoos are very fascinating to me; the best one I’ve been to is the San Diego Zoo.

  1. This is very well written! I also liked the vacuuming line because my mom makes me do that too and it is terrible. I see no mistakes!

  4. This is very detailed Ashley and a great effort. I can't believe you competed in a triathlon! You go! My main constructive comment is to try to keep the line-lengths more even for the flow.
